About us

Down with colossal
tech giants. Up with the good stuff.

For two decades, people have been coerced or tricked into signing up for accounts and “agreeing” to terms of service en masse. With the average internet user managing between 90 and 300 accounts–each a potential security risk or marketing opportunity for vendors–there’s a need for a system that manages these accounts while protecting your privacy and autonomy. That’s where we come in. We’re here to create an online ecosystem where you don’t have to choose between convenience, security, and privacy.

Here’s how we do it…

Small team with big goals

To do it right, you have to find the right people. So we did. We’re a small team of people on a mission to make online experiences less annoying. (That also means we only send out 1 email a week with everything you need to know about changes for that week).

No data storage

We never store your data, we just process it. While it might extend our roadmap by months, it’s the right thing to do.

A Ruca Jam

Yorba’s co-founders are also co-founders of Ruca, a global creative co-op that provides valuable contributions of work and/or expertise alongside the permanent members of the team. We believe you have more fun when friends are around.

Independent so far

We’re 100% focused on our product and building the right platform for our members and the internet as a whole. Help us stay independent by signing up and joining the journey with us. We don’t chase capital at the early stages–we’ve seen what it does to companies at our stage, but we look at all potential partners that fit into the ethics and community we want to build.

Give back

It’s more than a thing we say. We support civic-based projects with our revenue.

Driven by the community

Your data. Your control. That’s what we believe in, and that’s how we continue to do better every day. We prioritize people over growth at all costs, which is why we make it easy to share feedback and talk to us.

Incorporated as a Public Benefit Corporation

That means we’re legally forbidden from proritizing profits at the expense of user privacy or well-being. It’s not a marketing badge for us; it’s who we are, and it’s how we think all companies should be.

We’re serious

Doing all this requires you to trust us with your data. But you shouldn’t trust any company without doing your research. We wanted to make it easy for you. That’s why we:

Meet the team

It’s reasonable to be skeptical

If you don’t trust online companies, you’ve come to the right place. Want to stay? Join us by signing up or spreading the word.
